Whitetail Buck/Habitat

My thanks to everyone that commented on my last image of this same buck. I greatly appreciate the comments and the suggestions.
Overall I prefer this photo to the previous one. The bucks that live this long are smart and take advantage of cover. This image shows him looking through a break and surveying the landscape. One bit of movement, or scent in the air, and he simply disappears from whence he came.

Comments greatly appreciated.
edited to add: After reading Brad's comments on eye contact I should mention that in this photo I like that the Buck is looking out across the landscape unaware of my presence and thus not looking in my direction.

Place me in the group that likes this version better...and I DO like the "faraway" look in the buck's eye and how it is clearly NOT interacting with you (unless it has a vision problem!
To me this image has a much better "flow" to it, I think largely because of the more complete framing by the grasses/bushes. I particularly like the in-focus vegetation in the lower left and how it's directed at the head of the buck. Well done.
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
