Effortless Beauty

White-winged Dove from early yesterday morning. Shooting into shadow, terrain is slopped left in the area behind our pond. This slope helped me in the construction of the pond. It allowed for downhill drainage, with a constant small in/out flow of water.

Not perfect, but I like what the bird is showing me..

I like the view of the tail here - I find the interruption in the white terminal band interesting and this shows it nicely.

Howard, I like this shot a lot especially as you don't see flight shots of dove too often. The blurred wing is a major nit for me though as it's difficult to figure out what it is. Keep at it

Hey Luke, you figured out that blurred wing tip thing nicely:biggrin:
Thank you my friend!

I really like this Howard. Great look at it's namesake white on the wing. The fanned tail is great.

Lovely spread wing and tail, Howard. The blurred wing is a slight distraction but it makes us more curious about the image too. :toast:

Love the image. I like the dark moody background. The bright red eye really pops as a contrasting color. Well done.

Sweet flight shot Howard, I particularly like the look at the tail. The black bg on top doesn't do much for me in this case, but that's personal taste. :toast:

Howard

What a beautiful pose, love how it shows the colors of the wings and tail. Nice look at the eye too. The only issue I see, and it is very tiny, is that I wish the bill tip stood out more from the dark background. I like this a lot though.

I like a lot this shot, a really uncommon image. I admit that it took me a while to figure out what was that strange thing in front of the beak.
