This little Blue Tit just popped up over the edge of the log and I really liked the composition of this shot. The funghi to the front left may not be to everyones taste , but from positive feedback received in another forum Ive left it it, as I believe it adds to the composition nicely.
Shot Stats:

Adam: Really nice shot of the Blue Tit. The log and background work really well for me. The funghi in the front doesn't work for me. It's size dominates the foreground and because it is the area of highest contrast my eyes are really drawn to it. Interesting that you said you had positive feedback about it in another forum. I'll be curious to see how people react to it here. Thanks for posting.

You have made good use of this perch. I did like it better in the previous post but both are good images.

The bird is a gorgeous little thing. The background is terrific. I like the fungus okay, but I would have preferred that you didn't clip the bottom of it.

Gorgeous work on the bird, but I have to agree with Keith on the shelf fungus, especially OOF with the bottom clipped off.

Adam,

I love the Blue Tit, its pose and the eye contact you have from the bird. I like the background too. The fungi doesn't work for me either. It is out of focus, large and light which draws attention away from the beauty of the bird. Perhaps if you had used more dof to get the fungus as sharp as the bird it wouldn't be a problem.
