Mating Grasshoppers

Shot in August in my father-in-laws wheat field. My 8 year old granddaughter sure thought it was funny that they were giving piggy back rides. I like the light of this shot and the effect it gives.
All respones and comments are welcome- only way to grow and improve.
Just as it was shot, no photo shop.

D90, Nikkor 70-300mm lens @ 300
1/250's, f9 ISO 400, monopod

Not sure how to do the bigger picture, can some let me know?

Nice clean, sharp shot and the side lighting adds a nice touch, well done.

Excellent shot and great crispness where it matters. The colors and composition are outstanding, as is the background.

Really like this one. Almost monochrome and so would be a good candidate for B&W conversion. I like the arching perch. the low warm lighting and the sharp crisp piggy back grasshoppers  BG is really sweet. Congrat on this great macro shot :toast:

You can post a larger 1200px image as well by attaching another file when you first post the 720px image. (its the last 'choose file' button just above 'post photo')

Nice intimate moment, very well captured indeed. Loved the overall earthly tones.
