Autumn's Carpet
by Craig Strand
A rainy day project, collect colorful leaves, spread them out on the garage floor and grab your camera. I have been experimenting with image stacking and shooting with a rail. Throw into the mix a few hours of learning how to use a speedlite and before you know it the afternoon is gone.

I used a 1/8" honeycomb filter over the speedlite that produces the light to a small circle on the subject, and then I turned the lites output down to 1/128th, trying for a soft light.
Info on the honeycomb filter can be found at, http://www.honlphoto.com/servlet/the-23/HonlPhoto-1-fdsh-8-Speed-Grid/Detail

I really like the colors, the comp and the management of the light. Well done.
