Neat shot John. I really like the contrast between the aspens and the dark evergreens in the BG.

John,

For my tastes this is just plain stunning. Gorgeous, especially in the larger version. I think it's the graphic quality and mood that appeal most to me about it.

I don't recall commenting on one of your images before. Apologies, If I have and don't remember it, otherwise welcome to the gallery and a very fine first post.

This is a really nice effect. What do you think about cloning out those aspens in the background that are appearing as blue lines?

John, This is beautiful. Would suggest either converting this to B/W or desaturating the grasses and reeds at the very bottom of the image.

Nice posting.

The bg is so black, I almost thought it was a night sky until I looked at the larger version. Must've been in deep shade. I like the effect. I would suggest cropping off a little on the left to give it more symmetry.

Gorgeous John. The dark BG is very stunning with the stark aspen boles against it. The golden grasses are icing on the cake.

John, great light and colors.
I really like the bits of leaves left on top.
If it's possible, I'd suggest including a bit more of the vibrant orange grass that sets off the aspens so well.
Very nice as is, though!

This is stunning, John. Superb lighting for the Aspens which really stand out against the dark background. If there is something called strong verticals, then this is it  . I also specially like the few yellow leaves sticking at the top branches.

I'd love to hear about the processing here, specially the management of contrast.

John: Got a real nice  -meter spike on this one. Just the right amount of meadow as an anchor and I like the few hangers on near the tops of the trees. Very nicely done.>=))>
