Forever
by Dorin Bofan
Hi everybody,
It's been a while since my last post, so sorry for the lack of commenting. Secondly, thanks for the comments on my last image. It was quite unexpected for me and I'm really glad you liked it. I didn't get to see the good responses, but Andreas Resch congratulated me when we met in Switzerland. I feel really honored and humbled for this. We had a blast in the Matterhorn area, although the weather wasn't at its best. Andreas was joking all the time, making things much better when the cold, snow and fog were playing with us. Times to remember for sure.
This was shot at Stelli lake, right before sunrise, in my 3rd day of the trip and it's a 3 minutes exposure. What I really liked about it was the way the color from the rising sun was recorded. Thanks for looking and for any suggestions you might have.

Amazing image! This is so different than many of your posts as the colors here seem a bit stronger than your usual presentation (IMO). Maybe its the longer shutter speed, I am not sure? Anyways, I do have some minor suggestions for you and hopefully you'll find them helpful:
1) the reflected peaks could be burned down slightly. If you look closely you'll notice the blacks are a lighter shade in the reflection.
2) I think you could reduce the cyan slighty, especially in the reds channel. I think the browns in the midground look a little too blue.
3) I would crop a good 3/4 of an inch or 1.9 cm off the fg. (Just above the dark shadow)
Anyways, that is about as technical as I get. It's a wonderful image. Congrats!
