Male Orange Tip

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted October 29, 201068 views6 comments

This is a Male Orange Tip butterfly.

I took it hand held from a footpath using my live view to compose the image, well, the ground was boggy and I didn't want to get wet

Sony A350
Tamron 90mm macro
1/640th second
f8
ISO 400
+0.3 stop exposure compensation
Centre-weighted metering
Almost full frame, just a little digital zoom evenly on all sides.

I like the wonderful range of colors throughout the image plus the nice detail of the butterfly and flowers, way to go.
