Here is another shot taken around the same time as the horizontal version posted earlier. The water was a little choppy so I used a long exposure to smooth things out a bit. While making this shot a group of about 15 photographers came up behind me... a little unexpected! Thanks for looking!

iso 100
circular polarizer and some other grad/nd filters... can't remember!
Had to get all the fg rocks wet using my bail bucket so they showed the colour nicer.

Nice shot, love the comp and the subtle color. If the other photogs get to close you could always turn that bail bucket on them, they're like cats

Kurt,
Ya, they are like cats... I never even heard a peep and then there were all kinds of photogs right behind me!

Subtle color and subtle beauty here Wayne. I like the subdued color, anchoring foreground, shimmering reflection, and cloud movement. Nice work once again.

The long exposure works great. Very well composed scene. I like the color at the right edge of the horizon a lot. It's like a sparking gem in this scene of muted colors.

Fabulous shot Wayne! I love the comp and the longer exposure time. Really makes me miss my home province. I just finished reading your article in Outdoor Photography Canada and i'm already planning a trip back home next spring. Thanks for sharing and sharing and sharing....
