An overcast sky didn't initially provide much colour but as the sunrise wore on the higher clouds lit up leaving the lower clouds still fleeting and dark. I'm working on simplifying compositions at the moment so hopefully this achieves that aim at least.

I like the sweeping wave Andrew as well as the sky. Composition and color also work for me.

I very much like the water texture Andrew as well as your composition. As always is impressing :) The only thing that is not there (only in my eyes :) is the headland on the left. A tod too bright. I like the photo regardless!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Tom, I've corrected the contrast on the headland in the original now. Thanks for that :)

The mix of colors is superb Andrew. The water texture is awesome, and a shot without the headland (just sand, water, and sky) would be great too.

This is a very nice composition, the sky is lit beautifully and the streaking water in the FG is very nice. The only thing I would adjust is the bluff on the left - there's a fairly noticeable shadow along its edge, which I presume is left from dodging the rest? The bluff looks a bit light to me, in general.
