This is a small island in the San Juans off the coast of Washington from a ferry. It was a very foggy trip and things were just starting to lift. I'm not sure how much I like this one, so I thought I'd post it. I do like the split frame and muted tones, and natural vignette. Any thoughts?

Thanks for looking...

I like the fog and the look of the water. I think I would crop off the top about half of the white fog area. For me with the island in the middle the comp. is static.

I like the tones, and the mystery added by the fog. I think I'd crop half the top or bottom, but probably the top as the water has some nice detail in it.

I too like the fog surrounding the island. The water looks great. I agree the crop of about 1/2 of the sky looks better to me.

I like it at is, but it would be slightly better if you could see a little more of the top of the island.

The symmetry is also working well here, David. The image doesn't wow me, but it sure is easy and enjoyable to look at.

I agree about losing some of the sky up top, but still, this has great mood and atmosphere.

Lovely mood, but I would crop at least half the sky and make this a semi-pano.

Very nice. Washington fog is so much fun as it changes landscapes in fantastic ways. Larger image reveals mysterious life in the San Juans. I suppose I like it because I can relate to the scene so well.

The simplicity of this minimalist image is wonderful. The only thing that could possibly make this any better is if the clouds had obscured the distant land on the right to make this even more symmetric. Minor nit, to a very nice and refreshing image.

I like the symmetry and the almost monochrome appearance of this image... Like a mysterious place, suspended between the clouds and the sea... Very nice.
