I love the colors and comp - but think the crazy high ISO hurt you here because there is a serious lack of detail in the birds which makes them appear fuzzy

Good use of centering your subject. It works well here.

I really like the water, but I also think the birds lack detail.

Hi Cheryl. The ripples, birds facing opposite directions and the stunning colors make for an interesting and attractive photo. My approach would likely have been to trade some iso for a bigger aperture, but that's just me and it is informative to look at other approaches to a given situation.

Thanks everyone. The high ISO was due to the fact that i was with another 7D user and I was complaining about the noise I get at low ISO and how much I've pretty much grown to hate this camera. He showed me his images amazingly noiseless at high ISO so I jacked mine up to see what i would get. Yes I could have dropped to f8 or so but I really wanted both birds in focus and they were swimming back and forth. Back to the ISO , I did find that the higher ISO on my particular camera had BETTER noise value than at 320. Pretty sad. So... after all of my complaining to Canon I still need to send in the camera for repair. Sooo Sad! Thanks all for the critiques
