I agree, Chuck..fall was definitely short and not as good as previous years. That is the time to look for the more intimate compositions, such as you did here. I like the muted tones and the placement of the floating Maple leaf. Good eye.

Very nice, Chuck. I like the colors and the contrast between the submerged leaves and the one remaining on the surface. The tension at the edges of the surface leaf really sets everything off very nicely.
I agree that this year's colors were not as vibrant or as long-lasting as usual. Its always kind of a bummer when the fall season ends with several months of winter looming ahead. Thank goodness we have photos to get us through.

I like the shot but think it would be better if you cropped off the bottom which doesn't add much to the photo.
