Have several autumn photos I never got around to processing...this is from late September on the Salmon River near Owls Head in the Adirondack Park. Double processed the RAW file, blended FG/BG and made some minor adjustments including a crop of the bottom.

T1i, 33mm, f18, 1/2s, ISO-100, tripod

Comments and suggestions always welcome. Thanks for looking.

This is beautiful, Ron. Really nice composition, with the stream and the shoreline drawing the eye back. I like how you have opened up the shadows a bit. Wonderful autumn color. The little bit of sky poking through the foliage in the upper left hand corner area is slightly distracting but really minor. Really well done.

The processing looks excellent across this scene. I particularly enjoy the greens and purples found in those shoreline boulders. Well seen and captured!

Ron,

I like the composition very much. I especially like the detail in the tree trunks and the under story. My only nit is the cascade getting clipped on the left border. If you would have zoomed out just a bit to save it might have been better.

A pleasant autumn scene, nicely captured. I think I'd be tempted to clone some leaves into that small area of sky peaking through in the ULHC.

Sweet light and color throughout. I like the foreground and sweeping line of the stream bank but am wishing for more on the left side, perhaps not as tight.

Beautiful scene and great color. As others have mentioned, a little more room on the left would have been nice, but still a great shot.

Very nicely composed. Great colors and speed on the water. As others have noted maybe a little more room on the left but great shot as is.

Well composed. If the trees were maples, this could be Oregon's Salmon River!

Appreciate the feedback and recommendations...for the most part, I agree. Here's a repost with the a) clipped cascade clipped out, and b) cloning and retouching in leaves. Daniel - There are a few maples in this mix of woods, hard to see at this size.

I just looked at my remaining unprocessed images and I have some horizontal shots from this area of the river as well...will work up one or two and post in near future.

I like how the river flows through the picture. The rocks on the shore are a nice element. This is beautiful.

Your work on the repost did a nice job of removing the small distraction. Now it really sings. Great color and light. :toast:
