One from earlier this year, he spent quite a lot of time in my garden defending some apples, he was quite a character and I really enjoyed watching him, there was snow on the ground that lit him up and gave me the cool tones, hope they return

Very nice shot of this thrush. I'd be tempted to warm it up just a bit.

Nice pose and head-turn. Exposure is spot-on, and I like the interesting background tones too.

I think the BG really makes this image. A very pleasing tone that makes the bird stand out. Perch, pose and detail all look great Karen.

Bird and Background are well matched and there is great detail in the wing and chest. I just feel overall that the image is a little dark. Since I like dark images, and frequently push images in that directions, it makes me think the lightening must be needed. Try it and repost, just to see. Please. I think the image is great.

Very nice Karen. Great detail in the larger image and I like the way the background colour complements the bird's coverts

Beautiful pose & eye contact, I especially like the light in the bird's eye and the comp you used. I think the image would benefit from being warmed up slightly to reduce the slight magenta cast. I wish we had this species here.

A great image Karen
So you're colour matching your birds with the BG now then?
Well done.
