One of my favorites too. The one here is called a Carolina Wren. Tough to image, they are really twitchy-even when they look still. They also like it low to ground and seem to always be in a bunch of branches.

Good job.

I really like this "bird in habitat" shot Ron, nice sharp detail in the feathers and I like the pose and perch. The short stubby tail makes it look very much like our winter wren here in the U.S.

Very nice. I like the habitat here and don't think it detracts from the wren in any way.

FYI to Americans: this is Troglodytes troglodytes; which is called Winter Wren in the U.S. Note that this species has been split recently into (Eastern) Winter Wren and Pacific Wren, with a lot of field work yet to be done to work out the proper range maps.

The perch and inclusion of habitiat make this an interesting image for me. I also find the comments interesting. I thought this was a carolina wren at first. After reading Richard's comment and doing a little research I'm now wondering if a wren we have in our backyard each winter is a carolina or a winter?

Ron,

I really like this image, the pose of the wren is great and very typical for wrens in general. I like the habitat included in the image and like how the red berries add a pop of color.
