Weekly Challenge Gallery - 1st Honorable Mention
WC #457 Big Buddy

Here's a shot of my "Big Buddy" Ronnie Gaubert out in his element in November '07. It was tough getting him to stand still for this 2.5 second exposure.

Beautiful image David, great composition and I think the lack of a noticeable horizon line really sets this off. Well Done!

That is truly an amazing image... as Stan said, totally surreal and the size of the tree is astonishing.

Very neat shot David. If I were Ronnie I would have to have one of these on my wall. Love the fall colors and foggy BG. Another real winner.

Great photo. I bet Ronnie loves this. His presence gives a great sense of scale to the size of the tree.

That was the good-ole days Lil' Buddy. Sure do miss being able to get out there. I don't ever recall standing still for that long.

Personally knowing Big Cajun Buddy's stature, I'd concur that the Cypress is pretty big, too. Seeing Ronnie's comment on his post of you, just wondering, aren't those waders he's wearing?

Whoa, that is a very cool shot. The fog/mist lends a surreal mood. Love the comp.

I hope Ron has this photo blown up, framed and hanging in his home.
Great shot. And thoughtful. A great compliment to your friend.
