Foggy Morn

I took this image a couple of days ago after our first snowfall here in Western North Carolina. This shot is looking towards Mt. Pisgah; just over the ridge is the Blue Ridge Parkway. I wasn't happy with the original image the way it was, but I thought I could enhance it with some manipulation. Now I love this image. A friend of mine said it looks like a page out of a children's book. I really wanted this image to look like a watercolor and I think I have achieved it. Camera is a Nikon D70, no special filters, handheld.

It does look like an illustration Barbara. I love the colors in the sky.

I like the layered look to the sky and the effect really does add a nice illustrated look.
