Contemplating the final part of our descent from the Lizard Head Trail at 11,700 feet. We were chased off the plateau by thunder and lightening and descended through a hail storm. We wouldn't have found the top of the route down in the thick fog without GPS. We got sleet and snow during the night of July 30.

Sounds like some serious weather you encoutered Chad. I like the comtemplative position of your fellow hiker. The low lying clouds and lack of visiblity say dangerous road ahead.
