Yosemite NP. CA. USA. May 2010. Taken by the Swing Bridge. The waterfall is at its fullest. People were enjoying the view. The light condition was really flat, since it was cloudy and gloomy. I decided to go B&W. Should I crop out more sky?

Settings: Nikon D80, 38mm Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8, f/5, 1/200sec , ISO200

C&C are welcome and appreciated.

By cropping the sky, I think it puts more emphasis on the people in the scene which I think is more appropriate for this forum and more appropriate artistically. It know it may cut off a bit much of the falls, so lets see how others weigh in.

Jim,

I'm not sure I would crop any more sky, although it's unfortunate that the tone of the sky is the same as the top of the waterfall, so they merge and it looks like the sky is draining or something... :-)

Seriously, I think applying a sepia rendition would do the trick with this one. A nice travel/PJ image from Yosemite.

Eva and Lon, thanks for the feedback. I will experiment with both of your suggestions.
