The Soul of Water

Lots of water in rivers and creeks this fall in Sweden. Took a trip to a nearby waterfall last weekend and tried some more close up compositions.

(Sorry for not being so active lately. Been working with my first commercial photo project)

Very nice, I so appreciate water that looks like water and not smoke. Very good conversion with good tonality.

Christer,

This is outstanding! Congrats and kudos for zeroing in and capturing an intimate and powerful section of these falls. I really like the emptiness of the background, UL; it really gives this intimate comp a sense of isolation.

If it were mine I certainly might play with upping the highlights and dropping the shadows, ie. more contrast. But that's a personal choice of course. This is wonderfully crafted as presented.

A wonderful composition Christer. The rendering of the water is perfect for this scene.

Beautiful capture Chister! The contrast between the rocks and water is wonderful. I also like the shutter speed you have choosen.

Very nice! I like the intimate view, and the subject a lot. I might play with dodging and burning selectively to add a little more contrast.

Very nice, Christer. Sort of abstract and real at the same time. Textures and contrast look perfect.

Hey, Christer! This is very abstract and dreamy, and that's one of my favorite combinations. Very good work and congrats on your project!

Aptly titled, this is just fine and a very well done close-up of flowing water. Like your exposure/ shutter speed that allowed you to see into the soul of water.

I like how you simplied this scene down to just the basics, Christer. The B&W conversion has created a wonderful mood.

This is beautiful Christer, a very nice fine art piece. I like the way you've arranged the rocks and water motion in the frame. There's also seems to be a subtle soft glow to it that is very nice, and I like the detail in the water.
