Killer setup Geoffrey. Wish we had more eye contact.

Excellent shot of this interesting little bird. The exposure looks real good with nice feather detail. I agree with Alan about the eye contact. Nicely done.

Geoffrey, this is a beautiful setup. Love the branch. It appears the branch is sharper than the bird's head. Maybe just a bit of motion blur in the bird's head that 1/100s could not stop.

Another winner Geoffrey - love the perch and the contemplative skyward gaze.

Geoffrey, I really like the setup but as mentioned would too love for a better eye contact/head angle.

Geoffrey,

This Great Tit reminds me some of chickadees, but your birds are more colorful. I like the color combination in your image and the way the bird has its head tilted.

I like this a lot Geoff. The colors and perch are delightful and I like your comp. I can see the very slight softness differential between branch and head but might not have if it hadn't been mentioned. I'm one that appreciates a variety of head angles/eye contact and this works well for me - especially because your composition has the bird looking at the frame corner (don't ask me to explain that... )
