Amboselli NP during a 36 hour wind storm is as monochromatic as I've ever experienced.
I posted a B&W version of this awhile back that can be seen in my gallery as a comparison.

Canon D30 Canon 400 2.8 w 1.4 ex iso 200 1/350 @ f11 no color adjustment in post

A superb photo, especially considering the conditions, Neil! I particularly enjoyed the large version. Definitely subdued color and perfect for the challenge.
