Loch Awe Pines

by Gary McGhee

A small island of pine trees on Loch Awe, Scotland. One of the rare times it wasn't belting down with rain on my recent visit up there.

All feedback, good or bad is welcome and thanks for looking.

Gary.

This is quite nice Gary. A beautiful scene and reflection, and the colors in the reflection are especially nice.

I really like the symmetry of this shot, especially when paired with the soft backlighing. The pastels within the trees and background make for a very genuine feel to this photo.

Outstanding color, reflection, and lines with the tree trunks. I also like how this is placed against a soft colorful background.

Beautiful image, Gary. The reflection, the autumn color, and your 50/50 composition work so well together. I especially like the lines of the tree trunks and their reflection. Nicely done.

Love the color and detail of those trees, especially the ones off to the right. I like this a lot, the reflection is nice. I can also see a pano version with some of the reflection cropped off working.

Thanks everyone, I'm delighted with the feedback you've given it.

Charlie, just to let you know the island isn't much bigger than shown. I composed the shot avoiding a very white sky.

Cheers, Gary.
