WC 458, Halong Bay
by David Thomas
Morning on Halong Bay, northern Vietnam (a World Heritage Site). Numerous karst limestone islands jut above the misty sea. The floating village in the distance raises cultured pearls, attached to the floats. I've somewhat muted the blue cover on the fishing boat that chanced by, but with little effect on the rest of the image.
January 2008, with my old Canon Rebel XT, 17-85 lens at 44mm, f/10, 1/200.
