Indian Elephant family on the jungle track.
This image belongs to the film era, it was 'Highly honorable winner' in Natures Best 2005, when I participated for the first time.

I suppose one could quibble about the out of focus green grasses, but the strength of the composition makes that a very, very minor nit. Super capture, well seen.

Hi Jagdeep,

I really like this one - it really put a huge smile on my face! Tight cropping works perfectly here for me - one of my favourite (if not my absolute favourite) elephant images of all time (wish it was mine! ). In a perfect world I could live without those very out-of-focus grasses overlapping the smallest elephant's head and mouth region, but to be honest I really didn't notice them until about my 3rd pass over the image (I was still too busy smiling!).

Love it...thanks for sharing it...

Cheers...

Brad

To me it is as good as it can get. Lovely image. My only wish would be that you could crop it a tad tighter than what is already done. Probably just taking away the part with your signature on the larger image would do for my taste.

But fabulous and a true deserving image for a rightful award!

Great comp! Love the position of the elephants and the upturned trunk on one of the youngsters.
