A little after sunrise on the Little Missouri River in the Ouachita Mountains.

The larger version isn't much larger but still may be of interest.

Beautiful orange color in the trees to contrast with the darker colors in the shadow areas. Nice comp, too.

Great color and light. I like the combination of cool and warm tones but the composition feels a bit too "heavy" on the right side. To my eye, it works better in a square composition with the sky cropped out.

Nice scene that you've captured here. The sky is a bit blank, but the blue does set up a nice contrast with the warm colors of the autumn leaves. Nice composition as well.

Randy,

Great color and light in the trees. I think you did a great job handling the exposure and dynamic range - considering the dark bottom and having the sky included. The trees sit nicely in the exposure middle.

I'm wondering if you captured any comps horizontal? The flow of light through the trees seems to be perpendicular to the vertical format. Not a bit deal and I expect there may have been some concerns about other elements preventing a horizontal image. Regardless, this came out quite well.

I like the contrast of the glowing trees against the bluer elements in the scene.
