Snow Goose Landing

One from the Bosque earlier in the week. The snow geese were putting on an entertaining show coming in for landings, and leaving. At this time of the year, the cottonwood trees still have a little color to create some nice background opportunities.

Canon 50D
500mm f/4 with 1.4x TC
1/2500 @ f/7.1 - manual exposure mode
ISO 400
Handheld

NR on the background, Small Crop (about 10%)

Excellent landing posture Keith - your SS almost completely froze the goose. Nice background colors and I like your composition.

Very well done. Nice and sharp on the head and body and just a little movement in the wings. Perfect for that sense of motion.
