A scene along a small creek in the Napa valley I found a couple of years ago. Took some time and reprocessed it recently. It took me awhile to place all those leaves. All but the ones on the boulder, they are as mother nature put them  I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for your thoughts. larger version included too.

D200,
18-70mm,

Thanks,
Chris

Ok Chris you fooled me, I thought this was from Yosemite, when we were there a few weeks ago. Beauitful Image with a wonderful palette of color. Nicley done.

I thought you'd be in the valley for the snow?

That's a lot of leaves Chris. A simple and beautiful scene. Glad to hear you let mother nature do the leaf comp on this one. ;]

Man, that must have taken you a long time setting up this photo. My question is did you bring the leaves with you or did you find them in the area? And if you did bring them with you, can I rent them from you for a photo of my own.

You really have to look at the larger version. This is a very nice fall scene, Chris. Love all those leaves around the small pool in the creek. The placement of the big rock works well with your comp too.

Chris,

I too thought this was from the Valley. I guess it doesn't really matter now does it? It's still a lovely image. Not a grand beauty, but a solid, intimate autumn image. The larger view is most certainly the way to enjoy this because at the smaller size it just doesn't jump out at ya. Well done Chris.

Super solid work Chris! The composition flows very well, the little pond is a nice diagonal element that carries me through the composition. The boulder and the few leaves atop of it work as very good focal point. No nits here!

Nice fall image, Chris. At the smaller size, the pool seems like a void in the image. In the larger, the bottom details fill in and make the image work quite nicely.
