Galveston Texas. This morning. 8 Mile Road. This guy was nice enough to hop up on this rock while I was following him along the shore.

D3 ISO 320. 300mm with 2x tc. f6.3 1/1250. Hand held.

By the Way....if you wonder where mosquitoes go in winter....they migrate to Galveston Texas.

Wow! the bird really stands out against the background. Nice composition and a good eye contact. Nicely done.

Looks like the light might have been a little tough -well handled IMO. Your blue BG is super.

the bird really pops out of the blue smooth background. Great shot.

P.S. I think those mosquitoes are the same I met last summer..... they said that Galveston was wonderful all year round.

This looks terrific in the larger version, such sharp clear detail. The clear blue sky really makes the bird stand out and you've captured quite an elegant pose. Graham

Very nice Angela. I like the pose and the raised leg. The bird shows real well against the stunning blue BG and the image is tack sharp. One of the small blessings of cold winters is the lack of those nasty little pests.
