Unsettled skies on Inverness Beach, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Although warmer this year than usual, still dramatic weather wise, still my favorite stormy beach where rainy moments come and go when they please. .....a place one can not ignore the gift of light and drama.

BTW - The out cropping of rocks was not visible last year.... buried beanth the sand it was. Another reason I love this ever changing place. A testament to the power of the ocean and the weather.

Thanks for looking. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Love this Eva. The clouds and rock outcrop give the photo lots of depth.

Beautiful tonality and feel to this one. I really like how the clouds are so luminescent. The natural processing here does work well, but I wouldn't mind a slight kick of saturation.

I like the reds amongst the blues in those great clouds. Nice control of exposure to bring out those great colors, which I see are also showing up on the rocks. The texture and detail in the rocks is also very nice. The beach seems a bit messy... low tide, I guess. Cropping the top section of brighter sky might be an option as well. Lovely shot Eva!

A fantastic scene, Eva. The stormy sky and rocky foreground give this one a more dangerous feel than your previous posts from here.

Very nice Eva. I like the dramatic skies, but I like even more the rocks and their subtle color changes.

Color looked a bit off (too cyan) to me so here is a repost.

Beautiful as always, Eva. Fascinating about that rock jutting out from the lower right. Really like the color in your repost and being a little darker than the original, it makes for an image that is little moodier, which I really like. Incredible work.

The repost comes across too dark on my monitor. Maybe somewhere in between the two? Still a striking shot with excellent color and mood.

Hi Eva,

The color looks great in the repost. Somehow it also got quite a bit darker. maybe brighten it up just a tad. Nice one!

As I look at all the photos from other photographers shooting Inverness Beach here on NPN, all I can say is that this must be the most under-photographed stretch of beach in North America and that you must be wildly happy to have this place all to yourself. I like the second version a bit better.

Eva,

There ya go with that big and bold sky! I can believe you through your images how the rain, storms and clouds can come and go in an instant.

It's quite the dramatic repost though from "too much cyan" to a drastically darker and much different image. I'm assuming you did more than just play with cyan? Obviously more drama in the repost, but I think I almost favor the calmer seascape look of the first. Perhaps some tweak with the cyan, but not the lightness.

Still, another grand sea and sky - scape.

Another signature beach shot Eva, that 3rd post is perfect IMO. Balances the light and color just right. Very nice capture.

Beautiful seascape Eva, the clouds look great. It looks a great spot.

Edit - Just seen the reposts and your second repost is definitely my favourite.
