Back to some digital teasers while I work more of the 4x5 images and wait for more film to return.
This small stand of black oaks are on the north side of El Capitan meadow just in El Capitan's shadow. They were past peak and many of their leaves had fallen already. What I liked about them was the individual leaves themselves contrasting with the twisted background of dark branches giving a starry sky impression.
As soon as I had set up the 4x5 to make the photo, this car of women pulled right in front of me blocking the trunks completely. I waited for a bit and then got kind of upset when one of them pulled out a loco weed cigarette and started to light it up! I then went over and asked them politely to pull forward at which point they became upset with me and got into their car a drove off. They were not looking at anything or enjoying the meadow, just stopping to get high
Digital capture, 4x5 on its way.
Your thoughts on this photo much appreciated.

5 commentsDon't know what it is about a view camera but many folks seem to think it is completely acceptable to position themselves right in front of the camera. Maybe they just don't realize what it is or they don't know you are a photographer. Who knows. I can identify with your frustration completely.
