Sierra View...

Found this pond along the Owens River on the east side of Bishop hoping for a nice reflection of the Sierra, didn't work out that way. But, we went back for sunrise and hoped for a sky with wonderful clouds, didn't work out that way either. Oh well, do the best ya can, taken mid October. I believe the prominent peak in the middle is Mt. Tom, correct me if I'm wrong.

That's Mount Tom. Even with the bluebird sky this works nicely. The water and the morning light make this one.

I second Preston's assessment of the water and the morning light.
Thanks for sharing, Reno.

Wonderful peaceful scene, Reno. Very tranquil. The reed reflections really make this work for me. Well done.

Reno,

This is excellent. I love the foreground grasses and the reflection.

I was in the Bishop area in early October exploring the Owens river looking for good spots. Our hunting was very unsuccessful. Any hints on where to look? What roads are you driving on?

Thanks for any help.

Michael, take the main road east out of town towards the airport, turn south (right) after the last group of buildings, that will take you along the Owens through some ponds and dunes, pick your spot from there.
