Yet another leaf photo.
Taken on a weekend trip by myself into the Flint Hills--same trip as Political Tree photo pictured several days ago.
Constructive comments and suggestions always welcome.
Nikon D700, Nikkor 14-24 f/2.8.

This is an excellent example of breaking the rules, the centered subject has worked very well indeed in this composition. There is so much rich color, texture and fine detail to explore here. Well done Larry, I like this a lot. :toast:

NIce composition, Larry, the rippling water really makes you focus on the leaves.

Wayne,
Coming from you I guess this "leaf photo" is OK.
Most of us know about the rule of 3'rds but I actual composed this shot as it is, ie. not cropped. Nothing else in the viewfinder appeared to work.
I read your biography and I'm glad you are where you are.

Very interesting shot Larry! What really grabs my attention are the patterns in the water, I like how they are different on each side of the leaves in the center, almost creates 2 separate images in photograph. Nicely done!
