Oh, this is very nice Sandy. Love the red eye, twig and the sharpness. You might lighten the tail and feet just a tad if you wished.

Great detail from beak to toes. I like shots that capture behavior and you have done this with this Heron intent on a mission.

A really nice flight shot of this heron Sandy. Love the position of the bird and the bit of stick in its beak. Nice and sharp. The comp is a bit tight for my taste. I do see a very noticable halo around the bird, but especially the extended wing. The whites along the leading edge of the closest wing are bright. I might consider toning them down a bit is this were mine. Well done overall.

Great flight shot with the added value of the twig in its beak . The red eye is the center of gravity of the image .

Wow, that's awesome Sandy. Nice and sharp and the twig just takes it up a notch from the typical flight shot.

Nice image. Tough to get a flight shot of these birds. Good detail in the eye. A bit bright on the whites.

Very pleasing image, Sandy. I like the wings down for this bird. Adds to the curvature of this species profile.
