Once the lava cools we tend to pass it by, but I was amazed at the intricacy and patterns within. This 10 foot section over the lava tube was by far the most fascinating section I came across.

Thanks for your comments on my last post!

This is what Hans Solo must have seen when he sliced open that Tonton...

I kid...seriously though, freaky, and totally different from what we are used to seeing on this site. Very freaking cool!

Very cool Justin. I like how the tones change from pewter to gold as I move throught this image and the textures and shapes are fascinating. :toast:

Hey Justin - Love the lava. I found the dried lava an incredible subject during my only Hawaii trip. WOuld love to go back. The play of yellow, blue and the textural detail works wonderfully. Nice job!

Another wonderful lava image. Makes me think of a deep gash in the surface of the Earth, her guts spilling out. Which, I suppose is exactly what it is.

It's definitely fascinating Justin. It looks a lot more intimate than a 10 foot section. Love the metalic look.

Very cool, Justin. I love the light here too, it really brings out the golden sheen of that lava. I think you might be getting some people to think about buying a ticket to hawaii!

Justin,

I think this is even more impressive than your last post. Of course totally different, but this one is a bit more of a mystery as to what it is. I love the coloration and the patterns are fantastic. Nothing to critic or suggest. Awesome imagery and a great nature story.
