Richard,

Blue and Gold, one of best color combos in nature. Clear blue sky, but what a beautiful blue you've presented here. Pretty static and straight forward composition, but this pops very nicely on my screen.

I believe it's quite natural, but I'll comment on the slope anyway. This is more of a comment from the peanut gallery rather than a suggestion for you... but we are so often (I know I am) fixated on level horizons. For me it's mostly bodies of water, but with land, and and landscapes it's somehow easier to let the "land be the land" and not fret over land that isn't level. Cause we all know it's not all flat out there. Anyway, just thought I would inject that because I expect it will come up - so I'm curious if anyone is bothered by the slope. I'm not so much.

Beautiful color Richard,

Lon

Nice tree portrait. The clear blue sky works to set off the tree nicely.

I'm not bothered by the slope as long as the tree is straight up and down. Gotta love the blues and golds/yellows. I do like that you placed the tree on the left side. With the beautiful leaves being fewest on the left side of the tree the off center location of it still feels balanced.

I like the contrasting colors. Could see shooting from a lower angle to push the tree higher into the sky.

This gives a fine sense of a perfect autumn day with the beautiful blues and golds and makes me want to be there. Did you also make a horizontal? If the right side is open showing more of it would might help to emphasize the expansiveness of the prairie.

I'm not bothered by the slope either, although I agree with Lon that this composition is a bit 'blocky'. Not a problem if that is what you were aiming for, although often people look for more dynamic presentations.
