Keeping in theme with Terns....

Nikon D300s 300 f4 + 1.7X TC HH

ISO 640
-.33 EC

Added canvas to the top (just above the wingtip to the top of the frame), then cropped to 70%. Levels adjustments, sharpened using Smart Sharpen and USM. Processed in CS5, 27" iMac.

Great composition. The spread of the wings and tail, and the beak juxtaposed against the far wing - all add up to a lovely flight shot.

Great pose. Full spread of the tail is an added bonus. Exposure looks fine except right below the black on the head. Those whites are maybe just a touch hot. A very minor issue on a fine image.
