Cold/Hot Sunrise

Another shot from Borax Hot Springs in the Alvord Desert of Oregon. November 2010. This was taken the morning before the photo "Radiant Glow" The air temp was 5 degrees F the morning of this shot. The title reflects the "cold" air temp at the "hot" springs.

I posted this in M&N due to the fence posts on the right which are remnants of an old borax mining operation in this area.

Nikon D7000, 12-24 Nikkor dx, polarizer
10 sec at f/16, ISO 100

This is very nice Scott. I really like how the cooling moisture from the hot springs have coated the surrounding vegatation in ice/frost. The deep blues of the water contrast nicely with the rest of the frame. Great work.

Exquiset mix of warm and cool Scott but my favorite part of your image is the deep blues and icy grass in the foreground. Thanks for posting in M&N.

The lighting in this is excellent Scott, colours are great especially the inky blue in the foreground water.
