Fall colors at Elowah Falls. Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. October 2010. It was a bit of a challenge to get the water color looking natural and I'm interested to read what you think. All C&C are appreciated. Please view large.

Nikon D80, 12-24 Nikkor dx, polarizer.

4 image manual blend for dynamic range and tree motion.

Lookd good to me, I really like the motion in the water. I wouldn't mind seeing the right side of the streambank. :toast:

A beautiful rendition of a beautiful location. I think the water color looks natural to me. On my monitor, it looks like there may be a little bit of funky color at the very top of the falls, but that could just be from the web sharpening. Beautiful!

Great comp and color. The falls look just a tad too dodged compared with the backdrop, but it may just be the monitor I'm on now. Fantastic job!

A familiar scene beautifully composed, technically executed, and presented. There's a reason some locations are iconic. I'm really enjoying this.

The colours look great and the water texture is perfect. The water cool looks spot on.Those look like some huge maple leaves on the rock and there colour stands out against the greens nicely. The dark shadows look appropriate too. The cliff looks a little cool on my monitor though.Excellent photo.

Very nice work. Composition is excellent and you handled some tough lighting really well. A great shot just as it is.

Scott,

Beautiful scene and beautiful capture of the falls. I like that the falls are really almost an accent to the scene. I think you've crafted this nicely. The water looks great to me. I can't see any issues with color or anything. No nits here.

Every shot I see of this place makes me want to get up there sometime soon (maybe next spring). This is certainly no exeption. A part of me wants to crop a bit off the bottom, but it's downright beautiful all around and maybe there's no reason to tinker.

Water looks great, Scott, as does the rest of the image. Can't think of anything to improve.

Beautiful composition and colors, Scott! Love everything about this... the mossy textured rocks, colors of the fallen leaves, and movement of the water. Awesome!!

sweet image, Scott. My only suggestion would be to maybe add a little midtone contrast to the bg - a nit hardly worth mentioning
