Man & Nature Gallery - 2nd Honorable Mention
On The Edge

this is picture I took in about middle of 2009 with Canon 20D & canon lens 100-300.

I took a lot of compositions for the dunes with photographers.

Your Constructive criticism is important for me

Thanks,

Abdulmajeed, the colours and shapes of the dunes are downright fantastic :toast:
the element of man adds the sense of scale... somehow it would be more dramatic if that person was doing s.th. other than sitting but that is obviously beyond your control...

where is this if I may ask?

This is really a nice dunescape. You handled the lighting and textures very well and the sense of depth created by the solitary human makes it a very compelling image.

Spectacular dune tones, shades, and composition. I love the photographer in the foreground for awe and scale. Perhaps better if s/he'd been standing and tripod more evident, but works as is. Like the ridgeline s/he is on as a foreground horizon, as well as the slope leading up from the person across the comp.

The flowing shapes and shades of the dunes make a fantastic comp. The photographer at work adds a nice perspective.

One of the best desert dune images I have ever seen. The golden tones are luscious; the light seems to be dancing joyfully among the ridges, crests and valleys. A stunning photograph. Having the photographer in the photo adds a compelling sense of scale. :toast:
