Another shot from Borax Hot Springs, Alvord Desert, Oregon. I liked the side lighting here which illuminated the hoar frost around the hot springs.

Nikon D7000, 12-24 Nikkor dx, polarizer
2 exposure blend for DOF. 1/20 and 1/25 sec at f/13, ISO 100

All C&C are appreciated. Please view large.

Great light, the frost is really amazing. My only small nit is the LLC wich is bare.

Scott, I really like this a lot. Great lighting and wonderful foreground with an excellent leading line in the spring. Well done. :toast:

Another inspiring image from this area, Scott. Really like the low angle of view and the contrast of the frost and steam. Beautiful work.

Very nice! Great use of the light for side lighting. Really sings. The scene reminds me of Yellowstone, which is a place dear to my heart, photographically and otherwise. Sigh…, Borax Hot Springs and Alvord Desert– yet another place to visit.
Is this an exposure blend or "focus stacked"? Just want to clarify. Thanks.
