I wanted to share a wider view of the breakout I was able to witness at Kilauea. It's amazing to watch it from the very beginning as the lava begins to pour from the earth, to the end as it hardens into rock.

Canon 7D, ISO 400, f/16, 1/15 sec.

Now that you've posted the totally fantastic ones already, this one comes across as little lack-luster  But interesting for those that have never seen the lava flows in person.

The lava does have a wonderful glow against the dark grey background. Not as special as your other two but still enjoyable. Cheers

I'm really enjoying ths series from you. The textures and colors within the main "blob" are quite beautiful. Keep 'em coming.

These glowing lava patterns never cease to fascinate me. I love it.

Another fine effort with this storytelling image. And not an easy exposure with the very black cooled lava and the bright glowing hot lava. Well done!

Justin,

Yet another wonderful lava image. Nature is just amazing and fascinating. This really must be something to experience in person. Compositionally, I'm wishing for a tad more breathing room at the bottom, but I expect there were some elements you were also trying to exclude. Amazing stuff and a beautiful capture.
