Nice and sharp Oscar and lovely lighting. Well done with the HC.

On the full size, there's a couple of shapes below the tail - not sure if they are OOF tail feathers ?

Thanks Graham - it appears I have cloned part of the bird by accident! It is a faint version of its legs!

Whenever I convert it to 8-bit, rather than doing it through the menu at the top, I just click on the image with the clone tool and it asks me to convert it, and I must have clicked twice!

You have my deepest sympathy . Not on the award thats absolutely brilliant news . Its for the first encounter with Danny ....LOL
Seriously he is a inspiration to us plebs and a cracking geezer to boot . I do hope he has the same effect on your photography that he has had on mine .... a constant reminder to put a card in my camera .

The image ... nicely timed, sharp , lovely light and composed perfectly.

Lovely shot, Oscar. A shame about the additional foot, but I guess most of us have done something similar at some time. I certainly have. Congratulations on the award as well.

hi oscar, excellent capture , well timed, and exposed.. I think the duck family are so hard to get a good picture of. but you have nailed this one very well
dont be affraid to crank the ISO up on that D300s. although danny will say you can only take pictures at ISO 50 .!!

Cheers
