The Rise

Inspired by "The Rise of a Planet II" by taenaron which I found on deviantart.com (thanks Marc)

Foreground is Roca Sunzal along the Pacific Coast of El Salvador (with significant use of the content aware feature to add canvas on the left side.

Cloud was taken locally

Moon was created in PS using some rocks/water from El Salvador as a texture (if you look closely you can kind of pick out the rocks)

Sorry that my original post lacked photography (outside of 1 cloud image). I stayed truer to the forum with this creation! Keep in mind this is only my 2nd real creation so I'm n pro yet...

Made using CS5 and a 27" iMac

I know the inspiring image you're referring to... This is particularly powerful in B&W. I hope I've not sent too many folks over to DeviantArt in lieu of our work here, but if you like space art.... go take a look, just remember to come back.

I spent 7 years of my life slinging Lattes and Cappucino's @ Caribou and Starbucks, so perhaps it was my subconcious hard at work
