This guy was in prime condition, having just sped across in a matter of seconds after a quick McDonald's (an Impala), but sadly missed and this was taken whilst he got his breathe back.

MKIII 500f/4 1/320 f/8 ISO400 (HH, almost FF slight crop on height)
BG was as shot, NO cloning was done, just curves, levels, sat & minor sharpening.

Bob it was taken in Samburu, Kenya. This was one of four brothers, of which Graham G has seen quite a few times as prints. Back to Botswana again next year to top things up, then hopefully Kenya 2012 again with friends.

I take it you call impalas 'McDonalds' on the basis they are fast food?

A cracking portrait, beautifully exposed and with plenty of detail.

Have a look at Tanzania on my website Stephen! Impalas have an M on their backsides David hence the MacDonalds.

Hi Graham, no it's not Mr McCaskill, it was one from the rocks, the framed print.

Yes David, they are in abundance and easy pickings, well most of the time.

Bob, Tanzania was a possibility, but moved away from that area due to volume of people etc and game, plus have managed to secure some top guys again in Bots so that should be fun. :toast:

Shaun, you crack me up, LOL.

Cheers Julian :wavey:
