midsummer dreaming

I suppose I'm being seasonally contrary here but with blowing snow and wind chills around zero here in western PA it seemed a good time to revisit the summer backpacking season. This is an image from the Otter Creek wilderness in West Virginia of moonrise over Devils Gulch falls. It was taken on the first evening of summer deep in a beautiful wild valley. Obviously it has nostalgic value for me but what it might offer others, if anything, I'll be interested to hear.
The fuzzy moon is mainly because of haze. I couldn't capture it much clearer in any case and I wanted to preserve the glow around it so I went with it as is.

50D, 15-85 lens, 3-shot combo

C&C welcome and please especially view this one large for best detail

The composition is nice, and I especially like the placement of the moon. The photo seems to have too much cyan, though. I think it would be worth it to warm up the colors in PS.

Thanks for the comments. I agree that theres too much cyan in this. The original file did not seem so saturated to me. In any case I'm posting a warmed-up and further desaturated version which is probably a little more true to life.

Pretty cool shot, I like it. I think you were right to nuetralize the cyan some. I think that you could have kept the saturation though. Or at least some of it. Nice!
