Luminous Dreams #2

This is the last in the series I just shot. I learned a lot from the comments on the first images from this series and tried some new processing techniques and changed my workflow. What I like about this image is the foreground shapes, mirrorlike reflections, and colors of the setting sun.

Todd,

The pattern in the rocks is mesmerizing and the water color in the rocks is very alluring and rich. Its really nice and I like the color contrasts between the cool tones in the water and warm tones in the sky.

Double what Youssef said. The leading lines from the rocks and the colors are wonderful.

This is always tough with a wide-angle horizon shot, but I think it might need a slight cc rotation to level it.

Wonderful use of the foreground patterns and beautiful transition from blue to orange. Simply exquisite.

Great light in this one Todd. I love how the foreground patterns lead my eyes through the image :toast:

It looks like you dialed down the saturation a tad from your previous take on this spot: looks perfect to me. The vignetting in the sky is also handled very subtely. Great foreground. I think this is a winner! :toast:

The color palette on this one is what really gets me. I love the deep blues contrasting with the yellows and reds.

Great assortment of color, shapes and layers. I really like how the shadowy rocks and saturated blue water play against the warm sky. Where is this?

Excellent work Todd, I've enjoyed your series. This must be a beautiful area to shoot, is this near Carlsbad? I'm up the road from you in Dana Point, I'll have to drive down there and check it out. Very creative and beautiful image.

Great composition, Todd! Love the hard features of the rocks against the soft moving water, and complimentary colors of the sky and tidal pools. Beautiful!

Well titled. The chocolate fg shapes and lapis blue liquid is dreamy enough, but then further enhanced by the sunset colors.
