I like the mood you've captured here. Looks very forbidding. Processing-wise I'd like to see more detail on the mountain at bottom right (maybe it's there but not on my monitor) and tone down the bright area behind the mountain just a bit.

Love the atmosphere here, very intimidating mountains. I like the high contrast scene, but would be tempted to try and bring things into balance a little better, turn down the highlights and a little more detail in the shadows. Very nice scene.

Very dramatic scene Alexandre. I really like this but do agree that the highlights (sun) should be toned down a wee bit.

The darkness works for me here to create mood and a sense of balance. It also serves as a frame to the peep-hole of bright light.

Great view of the mtn - very dramatic. For me, the right side is a little dark, but it does a good job of framing the mtn as well.

Alexandre,

I love the contrasty dark and forboding processing- it adds the artistic emotion to the scene that fits with the name of the mountain and the title. The dark edges and vignetting makes me feel like I'm standing in the clouds getting a brief look at the formidible atmosphere just beyond. Very well done. :toast:

All your Alps shots have this distinct look - dramatic light, omnious atmosphere - so well suited for b/w. Great photography - love your take on these great mountains.

Very impressive as always. You never fail to capture both the beauty and power of those peaks!

A great shot of the Alps. The dramatic light creates a very inhospitable mountain atmosphare.

Pretty cool! Some serious atmospheric drama. The lower right corner might be a tad too dark/heavy for me, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. Good work.

I love the ominous mood you captured here. Because it is soooo dark, it really needs a small white stroke around it, especially when viewed on a dark bg. For example here, the photo doesn't separate from the border for about half the image - sure, it's just presentation, but presentation is important. I do like the image as is quite a bit, but the heavy black on the right side really draws my eye, and is a more significant problem than the blown highlights.

Incredible light, composition and DRAMA. Not to be cliche, but it seriously looks like an Ansel piece. :toast:

High contrast in this scene is refreshing and creative. Very moody and dramatic, it creates in me a sense of awe-- a mixture of wonder, foreboding, and mystery. Most excellent.
