Golden Eagle (C)

Gallery: Regional: UKNPPosted December 18, 2010222 views7 comments

I took this shot on a Danny Green raptor day earlier this year in Leicestershire.

Canon EOS 5D MKII - 300 2.8 - ISO 200 - f2.8 - 1/2000 - tripod

I had a cracking day despite the wet weather and this was my second best shot. My best was of Danny in his rain coat with a roll up hanging from his mouth!

OOF in front and tac-sharp deeper in your focal plane - great capture. Looks like a healthy bird. Robbie

Excellent portrait! I like the way foreground and BG melt one another to frame the powerful eagle. To me your picture transmit the strength and regality of the bird. Well done!
